Last night I attended the Red Carpet movie premier of Married Men & Single Women by filmmaker Steven Drayton, at the James L. Knight Center in downtown Miami! For the premier, I had the honor of styling two of the actresses, Chantal Nicole & Teshia Thurman, who were featured in the film. I also had the pleasure of styling Stacey Simpson, sister of both filmmaker Steven Drayton and well known legendary rap artist Flavor Flav.
Full of local media and vendors, the event was buzzing all over with excitement! The film, about the complicated and twisted relationships of already married men with single women, was full of realistic drama that would have many people thinking twice before they act! I give it two thumbs up! It'll for sure have you on the edge of your seat! The movie was absolutely awesome and a definite must see!
The full featured film was followed by the crème de la crème, "Battle of the Boutiques”; a fashion show that showcased a few local and extremely talented fashion designers. Being a fashion stylist, it was definitely a treat for my eyes!

Afterwards, the cast had their photo op and Q&A session which allowed media to ask all of the important questions that dug down deep into the mindsets of the characters in which they played. One question I really wanted to know was how close to home were the characters they played compared to their own lives!? A touchy subject perhaps, but they all assured that although they could certainly relate in some ways, their own personal lives didn't mimic that of their characters.
At the end of the night, the cast and crew enjoyed a grand reception full of congratulations and thanks for a job well done! Certainly well-deserved after delivering an outstanding collaborated piece! With a big cake, smiles, and memories to last a life time it was definitely an awesome experience. One that I am so honored that I was able to be a part of! The movie is soon to be released on DVD, so be sure to look out for it and make it a priority to go and rent it!
